#### **So, How Does the Partnership Match Function Work?**
1. **Build Your Profile:** Start by setting up your profile\! Fill in the filterable information. This includes your speaking position, debate academy(ies), and grade. Then, in your bio, tell us about your debate style, what you’re looking for in a partner, and a little bit about yourself. Don’t know what to write about? Use our prompts for inspiration.
2. **Find Your Match:** This feature is launching in **September**\! Our Match feature will allow you to use filters to search for debaters who meet all your requirements. This can narrow down your search. Read their bio and determine if they may be a good match.
3. **Connect:** Think you’ve found a good match? Send them a friend request and start chatting. You can try mocking (coming soon) or just prep together to determine if you’re a good match.

Well, you can’t debate without a partner (at least not in public forum). But your partner isn’t just someone you debate with in a debate round. Partners spend hours upon hours with each other writing cases, preparing blocks, mocking, and much more. The right partner should make debate more enjoyable and should push you to improve.
